About

What can you expect from our events?

We at Si O No organize the Pura Bachata & Pura Salsa dance event series, fully dedicated to bachata and salsa. Each edition offers structured workshops and social dancing in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

The music stays true to both genres, from traditional to modern styles, carefully selected by DJs who know how to build the perfect social flow. Non-bachata and non-salsa tracks are rarely played and only when they truly enhance the vibe.

Our workshops are led by experienced instructors who provide clear, practical guidance. Pura events are consistent, well-organized, and created for dancers who want to fully enjoy bachata and salsa all night long.

FAQ

Looking for answers? You’re in the right place.
Do I need to register in advance, or can I pay at the door?

You can usually pay at the door, but you also have the option to buy your ticket online.

Do I always need to buy the full ticket for workshops and party, or can I buy separate ones?

You can choose: either join just the social, or add the workshops as well. Tickets are available separately unless stated otherwise for a specific event.

What time do the workshops and social dancing start and end?

Workshop and social times vary slightly per event, but typically: First workshop start around 20:00, Second workshop start around 21.00 & Social dancing starts around 22:00 and continues until late. To be sure, check the specific event page for exact timing.

What’s the best way to get to the venue by public transport?

All our venues are accessible by metro, tram, or bus. For example, Excellis is close to Bordet station (train, tram, and bus connections). Exact directions are provided on each event page.

Is there parking available nearby?

Yes. Excellis has on-site parking (about 50 spaces). Maison des Ailes has street parking available in the area.

Can I leave my coat or bag somewhere safe during the event?

Both venues provide a designated space for coats and bags. However, we recommend not bringing valuables, as we cannot be held responsible for any lost items.

What kind of shoes or clothing should I wear for the workshops/social?

Wear something comfortable that allows you to move freely. Dance shoes are great if you have them, but non-marking indoor shoes work just fine. Heels are optional; only wear them if you prefer.

Do I need to bring a partner for the workshops?

No, bringing a partner is not required. We rotate partners during the workshops so everyone gets to dance.

Are the workshops suitable for beginners, or do I need experience?

Most events include workshops that are open to all levels, and we often offer a beginner-friendly option. If a workshop is more advanced, this will be clearly mentioned in the event details. Even as a beginner, you’re always welcome to join in and give it a try.
